Midwest Travel to Florida: A Pleasant Visit at La Quinta Inn and Suites in Tifton, Georgia

Florida is a great state to visit but where should you stop during your road trip from the Midwest? Here's a hotel that is Midwest NoBounds, LLC Approved!

For many folks from the Midwest, when traveling a road trip to Florida, Georgia is the state to stop and rest for the night. It's a good halfway point for a break from the road, wake up refreshed and excited that you're almost to your destination. The thing is with Georgia though is they have some nice areas and, unfortunately, not so nice areas. Luckily, there is a nice place in Georgia where I visited that was perfect for a pleasant night's rest during my family's trip to Florida.

Location and convenience are key factors when trying to find a place to stop during a road trip. Right along I-75 is Tifton, Georgia. There are plenty of places to eat whether you are looking for a quick bite or want a full dining meal. There are also plenty of hotels to choose from too. We chose to stay at the La Quinta Inn and Suites, and we were very pleased with our stay. The location was perfect being directly by the highway. It made an easy hop off/hop on transition. There were also places to eat that were very short walking distances or a short drive to get to.

Our stay at the La Quinta Inn and Suites in Tifton, Georgia was perfect! When you first walk in, you'll notice the large lobby with plenty of seating while delightfully decorated with bright contemporary style colors. You'll be greeted by the wonderful staff that really know how to give that good southern hospitality. After seeing the front lobby, we couldn't wait to see our room. We headed up to the third floor and once we opened the door to our room it was nothing but smiles and a sigh of relief. The room was huge with tons of space and most importantly everything was organized and super clean. We felt like we were the very first guests visiting. After spending hours in a cramped vehicle, that extra space was very much appreciated. The room was also decorated the same as the lobby which gave it that warm open feel with beds inviting you to lay down.

In the morning, we headed down for our complimentary breakfast. It was the usual type of hotel breakfast. However, they made sure there was plenty to choose from. Also, the staff was super nice and made sure everything stay cleaned. When you need a meal to eat but need to get back on the road, it does the job. If you're looking for more than just a hotel breakfast, there's a Panera that is walking distance or other places to choose your fancy.

If you are looking to spend a good amount of time at the La Quinta Inn and Suites in Tifton, Georgia they have amenities to keep you busy. There is a fitness center to help get your body moving after being stuck siting for long hours in the car. They also have a pool! The only downfall is that the pool is located outside and will be closed during the colder seasons and bad weather. If you are traveling with a furry friend, good news. They are pet friendly.

I have had my fair share of hotel stays in Georgia. It can be a hit or miss. When it's a miss you don't forget it and never go back. When it's a hit, it can be just as rememberable and it's a place you'd be glad to stay at again. The La Quinta Inn and Suites is a definite hit! There is nothing but great things to say about it. Convenient location, welcoming staff, inviting appearance, and most importantly cleanliness. The extra hours to drive farther down the state of Georgia to Tifton are worth it!
