Here's a place where you can get both coffee and ice cream conveniently in one location. Rusty Malts is open all day for the early morning coffee risers and for the late night sweet treat creamy ice cream snackers. If your day is busy, you can hit the drive thru. Have time to sit back and relax? There's plenty of seating upstairs or take a seat on their outdoor patio. When the weather is nice, bring your furry friend to sit with you outside and enjoy a special doggie treat. A bonus, Rusty Malts is located next to a bike path! It's a great spot to take a break and reward yourself.

Rusty Malts has 24 flavors of Cedar Crest ice cream to choose from. Cedar Crest ice cream is a Wisconsin company that started in 1976. They stick with the old style of ice cream making, so you know it's always good. Rusty Malts serves all kinds of different specialty ice cream on their menu. You can get a single scoop, sundae, shakes, or try one of their signature shakes. For their coffee, there's a wide variety of flavors too. You can order a frappuccino, latte, cappuccino, and more. If your not in the mood for coffee, then try their many flavors of tea or smoothies.

The owners of Rusty Malts, Mike and Jenn, first opened their doors in 2019. Rusty Malts is an extension to their restaurant The Rusty Nail Saloon. The Rusty Nail Saloon first opened in 2012. The food gained so much popularity that Mike and Jenn wanted to create an addition to what they had and right across the parking lot was prime spot. The Rusty Malt was born. Now, customers can either enjoy a meal, a cup of coffee, or a cold dessert without leaving the parking lot.

My Experience

I have driven past Rusty Malts many times. I always thought it looked like a cute little building and I would say to myself "I really need to stop there and check them out." Finally, I did. When I first walked in I noticed it was so clean. With ice cream shops people will accidentally drip their ice cream and make the floor sticky, but that was not the case here. The floor was shining! Everything looked brand new as if I walked in on opening day. The decor was well put together and inviting. I was truly impressed. The staff was absolutely fantastic. They were super nice and ready to take your order. I was so excited to see the long line of different flavors of ice cream. I felt like a little kid in awe wanting to try them all. I had to try one of their Signature Shakes and it was amazing. The presentation was perfect and, of course, it tasted delicious. It was filled with cookies and cream ice cream with chocolate drizzle. The size was perfect! I shared it with my daughter and we both left satisfied. I highly recommend trying one of their Signature Shakes!
